So it been decided by me and my wife to visit this temple which is far away from the place we stay. We were actually planning for Nov 12′ to pave a visit but sudden strike came from somewhere and knocked us, why don’t we make it on Nov’5 and Nov’6 there is an annual function in Balaji temple. Glad to know, so we should stay and so we need to book hotel at reasonable cost.. uh!!! but why dont we try to go as early on Nov’6 from here and return on the same day? our search starts here… Not sure why the travel time on sunday is 5hrs and 3.5hrs on Saturday and return journey first class is cheaper then the standard class…. little weird result we got while we search. By now we finally nail down better cheap hotel www.etaphotel.com, it was not so gud to those who do not prefer noise during the night
Since its cheaper and close to New street Station and just for a single night stay so we decided to go head and book. People in Reception of the hotel are nice indeed! Now we booked hotel & train and ready to go… our train starts at 6.25 am! my god never seen the time in my life and we reached the station all the way by run…. ofcourse you have to run when you woke up late and still need to catch the train on time and we never knew that this is not the end of our Run and we are going to run all around our trip. we catch the bus by running and while returning we got to run to catch the train…oops!
Once we reached the hotel we had refreshed ourselves and our target was set to visit Victoria square, Bull ring, Balaji temple and eat at Chennai Dosa.
Then we decided to go to Balaji temple.. So how should we reach there?
We took a bus [87] from New street station [Stop just in front of station] and asked for Dudley road east or lower city road return. The bus journey took us around 45 mins and so we entered the temple.
There were some cultural program going on in the convention hall which is located within the temple. It really awestruck to see children’s performance, simply Amazing! So we reach back to hotel and next day comes as usual! So again we started towards temple and advocated the Srinivasa thiru kalyanam. This imports the whole culture what we see back home! No wonder we had free lunch in the temple, I feel little bit shy to stand in the queue for the second time
.
And we had only one pending in our list, Chennai dosa! We diagonize the way to reach there after a long fight in finding. It was situated in Hagley raod just few stop from Victoria. We took bus 9 and asked for hagley road, yup! we got there. Had a pleasant lunch, which left us half hungry in the temple and complete the rest here
Finally ahead back to our town after a runaway catch of the train.
One nice place to visit in Birmingham!
